Officers responded to the Dumfries Super 8 on Richmond Highway after receiving reports of shots fired around 7 p.m., Saturday, March 25, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
Investigators located an intoxicated Jesse Lee Meadows inside of a hotel room after a bullet was shot through another room in the business.
The shooting was reported after the occupants of the room next door notified the front desk.
Meadows was charged with reckless handling of a firearm and related charges.
